Transport Ford Transit - the back bone of Britain!  I keep it on the steel wheels so I can hit curbs harder! ha ha

Jamie Squibb - the Freestyle
Team / riding No. Squibbfreestyle ltd / No number as I ride freestyle
First event / age / result My first event was a schoolboy MX aged 8 I have no clue of the result, I was scared and wobbled round the track!
First Major Victory My first big win was Air Wars 1 against a load of Americans and the top UK riders
Favourite event That’s tricky, I’ve been to so many fun events, I’d say NASS is one of my favourites as its local and I’ve been riding it for years. There are always some good bands and a good party!
Best memory I think some of my best riding memories are from my trips to South Africa and Dubai, loads of cool stuff to do and see, plus I won the events!
Ambition for 2011 Ambition for 2011 is to keep busy, stay fit/healthy and keep my riding improving.
Ultimate ambition I have no clue what my ultimate ambition is, I guess to have a good career in riding freestyle motocross, make the most of every opportunity and just to have fun.
Biggest career influence I’m influenced by any rider that has awesome style and a good attitude.
Most respected rival I don’t really see the other riders as rivals, they are friends with goals similar to mine so it’s all good.
Future after Freestyle After freestyle, who knows? Maybe I can run my team as it is but take a back seat on the riding side of it, I don’t really think that far ahead as I may get hit by a bus tomorrow, so there would have been no point stressing over it anyway!
Personal motto I guess my motto is to try hard but always have fun, there’s a balance where you are putting the effort in but also not getting flat out stressed, if you can keep the balance between the two life is fun and that’s what it’s all about-for me anyway!

I use CTi because they are the best!

Before I found the CTi, I tried various different braces from many other suppliers, and they were all horrible.  They slid down, they dug in and they fell apart.  I would have to pull them up when I was riding back to hit the ramp again!

Then one day, I was out riding with a friend who had a pair if CTi Edge braces and he let me try them on.  They fitted mint straight away and even walking round in trainers they stayed in place, so I bought a pair.

I ran them for a few years and by the time I was ready for a new pair, the CTi OTS had replaced the Edge, so I got a pair of those.  They were even better and I rode in them for a while before I decided to try the Custom brace, which were made to measure for my legs.

"I can bend my legs as far as I want"

"The main difference I noticed with the CTi Custom is how much slimmer it was than the OTS.  The Custom brace is really easy to fit under your riding trousers and in your boots, they do not dig in anywhere and when I’m doing tricks I can bend my legs as far as I want, and am not even aware that they are on my legs. The slimness of the brace definitely helps with movement.

"A bit of knee trouble but, luckily, nothing major"

The reason I run braces is for injury prevention, I’ve had a bit of knee trouble but, luckily, nothing major. I want to ride my bike for as long as I can and with the big crashes you have in freestyle, protecting your knees and legs is a must.  I see friends riding in BMX knee pads, claiming they are more comfortable, and they probably are but, I just say "I'll ask you again when you've got 8 months out for knee reconstruction!"
