Billy Morgan

Billy Morgan

“A friend recommended the braces he uses for motocross and contact CTi. Next thing, I’m being measured and fitted with some carbon technology”.

Emerging from Southampton dryslope with veins full of gymnastic blood, Billy’s desire to push his own ability quickly developed into breaking the boundaries of the sport.

During his initial seasons on snow his entry into the competitive snowboard scene quickly progressed, winning a British Big Air Championship and the London Freeze, podiums on the FIS World Cup and AST Mile High. He also became the first boarder to nail a backside triple rodeo.

These achievements contributed to his selection into GB Slopestyle team. However, having already qualified comfortably for the first ever Olympic Slopestyle event in Sochi, Billy’s journey nearly came to a stop when he injured his right knee whilst performing an ‘easy’ trick.

Happening just five months before the Olympics, it left him feeling his chance was lost.

"I snapped my anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament. I had a simple choice - either try to go to Sochi or don't and have the operation"

“A friend recommended the braces he uses for motocross and contact CTi. Next thing, I’m being measured and fitted with some carbon technology”.

“Combined with rehab, physio and some positive thinking, I made it to Russia, threw some triples and made the final”.

“Wearing the brace gave me confidence that my knee wouldn’t just fold. I forget I’m wearing it, it’s just become another bit of my kit”

Billy has continued to compete worldwide in snowboarding’s premier events like the Air and Style, Dew Tour and the FIS World Championships, winning the Spring Battle.

And to top it off in April 2015 he landed the world’s first quad 1800….all with CTi support.
